Device Selection & Technical Assessment

Overview

Selecting the right wide-bandgap device is the first engineering decision in a power design, and the costliest to get wrong. Our Device Selection & Technical Assessment service takes your application requirement — voltage, current, switching frequency, thermal budget, qualification grade — and assesses it against the SiC MOSFETs, SiC diodes and GaN HEMTs available from our Taiwanese manufacturers, with their application engineers contributing where the choice is close. Where qualification data or independent testing is needed beyond the manufacturer’s reports, we arrange it on quotation through accredited laboratories in Taiwan.

Why Choose Us

We sell these devices every day and know where each family performs and where it does not. As the authorised distributor we have direct access to the manufacturers’ engineering teams and their full characterisation data, not just the public datasheet — and no incentive to recommend a part that will not survive qualification.

Contact Us

Send us your application requirement or a reference design and we will respond with an assessment scope and quotation.

What We Offer

  • Requirement review: voltage and current ratings, switching frequency, dv/dt, thermal and package constraints, target qualification grade (industrial, AEC-Q101).

  • Device shortlist and comparison: candidate SiC and GaN parts from our manufacturers compared on on-resistance, switching loss, gate-drive requirements, package thermal performance and availability.

  • Manufacturer engineering input: application-note guidance, characterisation data and, where needed, a call with the manufacturer’s application engineer.

  • Qualification and test planning: if independent data is required, a test scope and quotation from an accredited Taiwanese laboratory, managed by us end to end.

  • Assessment report: a short written recommendation with the reasoning, risks and the next steps for samples and evaluation.

Benefits

  • The right device family and grade before the board is laid out.

  • Manufacturer-level data behind every recommendation.

  • One contact for selection, samples and any independent testing.

  • A written basis for your own design review.
